When it comes to my Simon Pulse covers, what usually happens is my awesome editor shows me a bunch of pictures and then we talk about them. If you'd like to see the contenders for the cover--which we talked about back when the book was still called Live! Nude! Mom.-- just click here.

The second picture was--obviously--the one that caught my eye--and my editor's as well--but there was a problem. The girl's hair wasn't blond and Hannah is! But, as it turns out, that's easy enough to fix, and we got to this (click on the picture to see a much larger version):

Getting closer, but something wasn't quite right--there was still something kind of flat about the cover. And so we ended up with this:

And that's how the cover came to be!
